XML feed elements

GLAMI identified mandatory elements which have the biggest influence on decision making when it comes to online shopping. GLAMI would like to give the best customer experience to its users – that is why these features are compulsory in the GLAMI feed.

• ITEM_ID String (64)

This is a unique product number - an ID that you use within your e-shop.

GLAMI uses ITEM_ID for distinguishing the products and for ensuring proper tracking.

• The value may consist of a combination of letters, numbers, slashes (/), backslashes (\), dashes (-), underscores (_), spaces( ), dots (.) and colons (:).
• Product variants, different sizes and colors need to have unique ITEM_ID’s.
• Provide the same value for the GLAMI piXel – parameter ITEM_ID. Otherwise, GLAMI piXel will not work properly.
Example:
<ITEM_ID>abc123</ITEM_ID>
• ITEMGROUP_ID String (64)

This is an ID that you can use to group products with their variants (ex: sizes and colors). This will help give better visibility to your product’s variants.

• Variants have their unique ITEM_ID and the same ITEMGROUP_ID.
Example:
<ITEMGROUP_ID>A86</ITEMGROUP_ID>
• PRODUCTNAME String (200)

This is the element that contains the product name.

• We always recommend to add gender (women’s, men’s, girls, boys.), material, color, and other product features alongside the name of the product.
• Do not state any irrelevant information in this element, such as “free delivery”, “free gift” etc.
• Do not add sizes in the product name.
• Provide the same value for the GLAMI piXel – parameter PRODUCTNAME. Otherwise GLAMI piXel will not work properly.
Example:
<PRODUCTNAME>Woman ankle leather shoes</PRODUCTNAME>
• DESCRIPTION String (65535)

This is an element that helps you provide descriptions for your products.

GLAMI needs the DESCRIPTION to allow users to examine the products in detail, we also use this information to put the products into the correct categories.

• Provide only relevant information to the given product.
• Describe the main attributes of the product such as the design and more detailed information about the material and its qualities.
• Make sure that the description is in the local language.
• Make sure you provide a description for each product.
Example:

Chaussures Lifestyle de la collection adidas Originals fabriquées à partir de cuir de haute qualité.

• URL_SIZE String (767)

With this element you can add the exact URL_SIZE link to a product which has different sizes available.

GLAMI needs this link to direct users to exact sizes, and not only to the general product. By clicking on the URL_SIZE, users will be directed to the exact product size, for example to shoes in size 41.

• Make sure that the link is going to lead to the size indicated on GLAMI.
Example:
<URL_SIZE>http://www.example.com/adidas-superstar-ii-2015/?size=41</URL_SIZE>
• IMGURL String (767)

In this element, you can add a product photo.

When it comes to online shopping, photos replace the physical feel of the product. Therefore, the better the quality of the photo, the better the user experience.

• Send real photos of the product, we do not accept photos edited online.
• Send the photos without a watermark or logo.
• Make sure the photo does not include any writing ex: a call for purchase.
• Send the largest possible resolution.
• Make sure you send photos in the proper sizes. The ideal image size is 1 500 px, with a width minimum of 500px. A white background is not taken into consideration.
• The background of the photos should be white or light colored.
• Send only the product itself in this element. Images with models should be sent in a different element, called IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE.
• Images are imported only once at the shop's registration. If you've made any changes to your image(s), you need to change the corresponding URL address so GLAMI can import it again.
Example:
<IMGURL>http://images.example.com/adidas-superstar-ii-2015.jpg</IMGURL>
• IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE String (767)

You can add alternative photos by using the URL_ALTERNATIVE links.

GLAMI needs IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE links to show the product in as much detail as possible. By providing additional photos, users will have the opportunity to examine the product from different aspects and angles, as they would in store. This will have a highly positive impact on its performance.

• Under the IMGURL we suggest having an image of only the product and under IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE we suggest having at least three additional pictures of the product on a model and taken at various angles.
• Alternative picture cannot show a different product than is in the main picture. It has to be both the same color and the same product.
• Same photo requirements are applicable for alternative pictures as for main image URL.
Example:
<IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE>http://images.example.com/adidas-superstar-ii-2015-alt-1.jpg</IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE>
• PRICE_VAT Decimal

Here you can add the net price of the product.

• Currency is always added automatically based on the country's local currency.
• Make sure the amount is provided without thousand separators. Use a decimal point or a coma.
• Prix indiqué correctement
• 1990
• 1990.20
• 1990,201
• Prix incorrect
• 1 990
• 1 990 EUR
• 1,990.20 EUR
• 1.990,201 EUR
Example:
<PRICE_VAT>1390</PRICE_VAT>
• MANUFACTURER String (200)

Here you can add the brand of the product.

• Do not send the MANUFACTURER element if your e-shop doesn't have branded products.
Example:
<MANUFACTURER>Adidas</MANUFACTURER>
• CATEGORYTEXT String (255)

CATEGORIES ON GLAMI: xml, sheet

By sending the GLAMI category text, you can ensure that each product is going to appear in the correct category.

GLAMI needs this element to be very detailed so users can find the searched product in a very short amount of time. A detailed categorisation provides quality traffic to your e-shop and gives the GLAMI user an enjoyable and easily accessible fashion search. If you provide a feed with poor categorisation we can still work with it but we cannot guarantee that all your products will be placed under the correct categories. Though your products may be on GLAMI, they will not be well categorised, and may not be displayed to users who may be searching for that specific product.

• For the best possible categorization use GLAMI categories.
• If you are not able to provide categorization according to GLAMI specifications, make sure that the last chain of the category and gender are always provided.
• Make sure that there is always one kind of product under each category.
• Make sure you always provide gender - (women's, men's, girls, boys.)
• Children's category should always be divided into girls or boys.
• CATEGORY_ID is not supported, only for web-developer’s usage. Please don’t replace CATEGORYTEXT with CATEGORY_ID
Example:
<CATEGORYTEXT>Glami.cz | Women’s clothing and footwear | Women’s clothing | Dress</CATEGORYTEXT>

• GLAMI_CPC Decimal

By using this element you are able to bid for the increased visibility of particular products. If you prefer to bid for whole categories you can do that from your administration section.

• The value is taken by the system only in the case that it is higher than the base CPC.
• The inserted value is always proportionally increased according to the setting in your administration CPC section.
• Use absolute values without currency.
• Use dots or comma's to separate absolute values. Correctly entered value is "3.5" or "3,5".
Example:
<GLAMI_CPC>0.15</GLAMI_CPC>
• PROMOTION_ID Integer

This element enables you to have discounts on particular products. If you prefer to set up promotions for whole categories you can do so from your administration section.

• Take the Voucher ID which was created in the administration section and insert it into the PROMOTION_ID element.
• The items will be automatically paired with the voucher within 2 hours.
Example:
<PROMOTION_ID>12</PROMOTION_ID>
• PARAM String (255) or integer

List of PARAM features which are already available on GLAMI as filters

This element enables you to add different features to your product. It can be anything from size, cut, material, length, color, country of origin or info about sustainability.

GLAMI uses this parameter for setting up filters and subfilters. By having these parameters in the feed, your products will have much better visibility within the catalogue. The more the parameter appears in the feed, increases the efficiency and effectiveness of placing your items in the catalogue.

• Make sure that one color parameter is added to each shop item.
• Make sure the parameter looks exactly as it is in the example, otherwise our system won't be able to read it.
Example:

<PARAM_NAME>couleur</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>green</VAL>

<PARAM_NAME>longueur</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>midi</VAL>

<PARAM_NAME>Country of origin</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>Czech Republic</VAL>

<PARAM_NAME>Sustainable collection</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>Sustainable</VAL>

• MATERIAL String (255)

It is an element that helps e-shops to communicate the material used of the product to users.

GLAMI collects this data, because the material of a product significantly influences the purchasing decisions.

• Please put the type of material and the percentage used in the product.
Example:

<PARAM_NAME>material lining</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>cotton</VAL>
<PERCENTAGE>50%</PERCENTAGE>

<PARAM_NAME>material lining</PARAM_NAME>

<PARAM_NAME>material of the sole</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>rubber</VAL>
<PERCENTAGE>100%</PERCENTAGE>

• SIZE String (255)

GLAMI SIZES

With this element you can add sizes to individual product.

• Make sure each shop item has its own size. Variants should be grouped by using the ITEMGROUP_ID.
• Make sure you are not stating sold out sizes.
• Make sure you send the right sizes per category. (85B should not be sent for shoes but only for bras.)
• This parameter is mandatory, the only exceptions are accessories such as bags, watches and glasses - with these items size is not an important indicator.
• Make sure the parameter looks exactly as is shown in the example, otherwise our system won't be able to read it.
Example:

<PARAM_NAME>taille</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>41</VAL>

For further examples click here
• SIZE_SYSTEM String (255)

GLAMI SIZE SYSTEMs

By using this element you can indicate the size system for the given product.

This information helps GLAMI create accurate filters that users can apply to narrow down search results for their own size.

• This parameter is required for all products with size systems other than EU (european) or INT (international).
• Supported size systems are: AU, BR, CN, DE, EU, FR, IT, JP, MEX, RU, UK, US.
• In the case of INT (international) sizes : XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, enter INT as VALue.
• Always specify only one value under the element.
• If you have mixed size systems, make sure you use this SIZE_SYSTEM element. Without this, we cannot guarantee that sizes for your products will be displayed on GLAMI properly.
• Make sure you state SIZE_SYSTEM in the correct format.. (EU Černá/85C should be: EU/85C)
• Make sure you send the right value with the right size system. (EU 4 - doesn’t exist)
Example:

<PARAM_NAME>size_system</PARAM_NAME>
<VAL>EU</VAL>

• Indiquez un article en stock de la manière suivante :
• <DELIVERY_DATE>0</DELIVERY_DATE>
• If the item is not presently in stock, but will be in ex: 5 days time, indicate the value 5:
• <DELIVERY_DATE>5</DELIVERY_DATE>
• DELIVERY String (255) and integer

Delivery information has more ways to be provided for the feed. Set the name in DELIVERY_ID, price in DELIVERY_PRICE and optional fees (for example cash on delivery) in DELIVERY_PRICE_COD.

• <DELIVERY>
<DELIVERY_ID>PPL</DELIVERY_ID>
<DELIVERY_PRICE>69</DELIVERY_PRICE>
<DELIVERY_PRICE_COD>109</DELIVERY_PRICE_COD>
</DELIVERY>
• Do not use the DELIVERY element for personal pick-up which is usually for free. Fill in only postal services.
• On GLAMI, the cheapest delivery price will be shown automatically.
• GTIN Integer

GTIN (EAN) is a type of code that is used internationally for automated data collection.

• Example: <GTIN>3234567890126</GTIN>
• GLAMI uses GTIN (EAN) for better product identification, product verification, and improved quality of product descriptions. GLAMI also uses GTIN (EAN) for better matching of product variants.
• GLAMI supports the following EAN code types: 'ean8', 'ean12', 'ean13', 'ean14' ,'ean18' or GTIN: 'gtin12', 'gtin13', 'gtin14'

PRODUCT VARIANTS

The example below illustrates how to send the same product, which differs by size or by color. You have to provide the same "ITEMGROUP_ID" to group these items together. Then provide correct other parameters which differ for every product (EAN, size, color, ...)

SHORTENED EXAMPLE

You have to break-down each product by it’s variants - send each size, every color separately.

Wrong CATEGORYTEXT

• The more categories and subcategories are used, the better, because it enables more users to find exactly what they are looking for.
• In all categories, gender must always be listed first within the CATEGORY TEXT. This division applies to all types of goods - clothes, footwear, underwear, jewellery, accessories. The only exception applies to home & decor.
• Product categorization must be clear. Each type of goods should be separated, so that it can be sorted into a specific category.
• Use GLAMI categories for your e-shop and for your feed to have the best possible categorization, find out more here: https://www.glami.fr/category-xml/
Woman’s clothes and footwear | Woman’s clothes | Dresses and skirts

In this case, we are not able to classify your products into the categories dresses or skirts, because they are different categories on GLAMI. We will only put these products into Women’s clothing, thus it will be much harder for users to find them.
